Mongolia Shines in International Fighting Tournament

Mongolians bagged gold medals in the 4th ďImperial 2010Ē international fighting tournament, which took place at the new Sports Palace in Yarmag on January 22, 2011.

Best fighters from Mongolia and Thailand competed in four different martial arts, including kickboxing, muay thai boxing, boxing and taekwondo as well.

In particular, world champion Ts.Amarbayasgalan of Mongolia won a golden belt at the Muay Thai Boxing event against Thai boxer Songkom.

Kick boxing world champion O.Enkhbayar from Mongolia won a gold medal against Jafar Nahti from Iran in K-1.

Jafar Nahtiís impressive record of 45 victories and he did battle 65 times in professional ring.

After that, professional boxing event was held between Pan Asian champion G.Ganzorig from Mongolia and Yong Satong from Thailand. Yong Satong was defeated by Ganzorig with 55-59 scores in that boxing event.

T.Daichinkhuu won a menís taekwondo 57kg weight eventís gold medal by overpowering E.Erdenebayar.

G.Uranbileg earned gold medal in the womenís event.

J.Batsukh took gold medal in menís 80kg weight category of boxing.

B.Davaasuren grabbed gold medal when he knocked out his competitor B.Tsogtbayar in fighting event.
